신동윤씨는 페리지의 창립자이자 대표이사입니다.
페리지는 대전에 위치한 항공우주 스타트업으로, 세계에서 가장 작은 우주 발사체를 개발하기 위해 지난 2018년 창립하였습니다.

페리지가 개발하는 초소형 발사체의 이름은 Blue Whale 입니다.
페리지의 궁극적인 목표는 Blue Whale 을 통해 전 세계 각지의 위성 개발자들에게 가장 저렴한 위성 발사 서비스를 제공하고, 이를 통해 인류가 우주로 진출할 수 있는 문턱을 더욱 낮추는 것입니다.

오늘날 페리지는 제주특별자치도와 협력하여 국내 첫 민간 우주항을 건설하고 있습니다. 제주 우주항은 우주로 가는 가장 저렴한 관문일 뿐만 아니라, 미래 세대들에게 새로운 꿈과 기회를 주는 장이 될 것입니다.

오늘 이 자리에서는 신동윤 대표가 페리지의 현재 개발 현황과 앞으로의 계획을 주제로 발표하도록 하겠습니다.

Yoon Shin is the founder and the CEO of Perigee Aerospace Inc.
Founded in 2018, Perigee is an emerging startup located in Daejeon with the goal of developing the world’s smallest launch vehicle ever built.

Yoon named this vehicle “Blue Whale 1”
With Blue Whale, Perigee aims to provide satellite developers worldwide with the most affordable ride to earth orbit ever.

Today, Perigee is working closely with Jeju municipal government to build Korea’s first private spaceport. When fully constructed, the Jeju spaceport is going to provide not only the lowest cost launch service but also new hopes and opportunities for our children and many future generations.

Today, Yoon will walk us through Perigee’s current status and future plans in collaboration with the people of Jeju.
