Dr. Mee Young Park obtained her Ph.D. degree from the University of Newcastle, Australia in 2003. She joined faculty of Cheju Halla University in 2000 and took the leading role in developing and implementing Problem-Based Learning curricula in the area of health and nursing education until she moved back to Australia in 2006. From June 2008 to July 2015, Dr. Park was the Director of Clinical Simulation and International Coordinator for the School of Health Sciences at RMIT University in Melbourne. In November 2011, she was awarded with RMIT Teaching and Research Award in respect to her endeavor of curriculum innovation using Practice-Based Simulation Model (PBSM) in nursing education. Dr. Park is currently the Director of Halla Newcastle PBL Education Research Center at Cheju Halla University. She is a member of Korean Nurses Association, Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council, International Society for Simulation in Healthcare and Korean Academy of Nursing Sciences.

박미영 박사는 호주 뉴캐슬 대학교에서 간호학 학사, 석사 학위를 취득하였으며, 2003년 동대학원에서 간호학 박사학위를 취득하였다. 2000년 3월부터 2006년 1월까지 제주한라대학교 간호학과 교수로 재직하는 동안 간호보건계열 학과에 문제중심학습법을 활용한 교육과정을 개발하고 적용하는데 주도적인 역할을 수행하였다. 2008년 6월부터 2015년 7월까지 호주 멜버른의 RMIT 대학교에서 간호학과 교수로 재직하는 동안 임상시뮬레이션 원장, 국제교류부장을 역임하였다. 2011년에는 간호교육에 Practice-Based Simulation Model이라는 교육과정을 개발하여 성공적으로 적용한 성과를 인정 받아 RMIT Teaching and Research Award를 수상하였다. 박미영 박사는 현재 제주한라대학교 간호학과 교수로 재직하면서 한라 뉴캐슬 PBL교육연구원장을 역임하고 있다.
