Dr. YongMin Kim obtained his Ph.D. degree from Fudan University in China in 2013. He had worked for Korea International Trade Association(KITA) and Institute of International Trade(IIT) before he started to do his doctoral studies in China. From 2002 to 2005, he launched KITA Shanghai Representative Office(KITA Shanghai) and worked for Korea-China business relationship as a representative of KITA Shanghai. From November 2010 to October 2011, he worked for the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai as a visiting researcher. In July 2011, he joined the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong. As a senior researcher, YongMin studied on Hong Kong/Mainland China especially on their economic/financial issues and reported to Korean government. Since he joined the faculty of the Cheju Halla University in 2015, he have taught students in Dept. of Chinese economics and Trade. YongMin Kim is now an advisory professor of the Bank of Korea(BOK) Jeju Branch and working for the society.

김용민(金容旼•44) 제주한라대 교수는 한중관계 • 중국경제 • 중국학 분야의 전문가이자, 교육자이다. 2000년부터 2008년까지는 한국무역협회에서 근무했다. 2002년 한국무역협회 상하이지부를 설립해 초대 주재원으로 근무했으며, 2005년부터 약 2년간 국제무역연구원 수석연구원으로 일했다. 2005년에는 '서울(首尔)'의 중국어 표기 공모에 당선되었다. 2013년 중국 상하이에 있는 푸단대학교에서 경영학 박사학위를 받았다. 박사 과정 중 주상하이대한민국총영사관 부설 중국경제금융센터에서 초빙연구원을 지냈다. 2011년 7월부터 2015년 2월까지 주홍콩대한민국총영사관에서 선임연구원으로 중국경제와 홍콩의 금융시장을 연구했다. 2015년 3월부터 제주한라대학교 중국경제무역학과에서 학생들을 가르치고 있다. 현재 한국은행 제주본부 자문교수와 제주신보 객원논설위원으로 사회활동에도 참여하고 있다.
