Kyungyeol Song received a Ph.D. in Aeronautics & Astronautics at MIT, and M.S. and B.S. in Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University, Korea. He is currently an Associate Principal in McKinsey and Company Seoul Office. He is a leader of McKinsey Energy Center. He has deep expertise in global renewable energy/cleantech (solar, wind, battery, LED, electric vehicle) and conventional energy industry (oil, gas/LNG). He is serving Korean/Asian leading players on various topics in conventional/renewable energy industry, including solar, wind, battery/storage, and shale gas strategy/LNG business strategy/gas-to-chemical business strategy. Amid his recent research projects, he has developed strategy for a global chemical company to grow solar energy industry in all parts of the value, including market assessment, entry strategy, evaluation of M&A and JV/alliance options, as well as support of deals.

송경열 박사는 서울대학교에서 항공우주공학을 전공하였고 MIT에서 항공&우주학 박사학위를 받았다. 현재, 맥킨지 앤 컴퍼니의 서울 지사 에너지 센터의 소장이다. 세계의 재생 가능 에너지 및 클린테크(태양광, 풍력, 배터리, LED, 전기자동차) 그리고 기존의 에너지(오일, 가스/LNG)의 전문가이다. 태양광, 풍력, 배터리, 쉐일 가스 전략, LNG 기업 전략, 가스-화학 산업 전략 등을 포함한 기존/재생 가능 에너지 산업 관련하여 한국과 아시아에서 주요 직책을 맡고 있다. 최근의 연구 중, 특히 세계의 화학 회사가 태양광 에너지 산업을 여러 부문의 가치 사슬에서 발전시킬 수 있도록 시장 평가, 진입 전략, 인수 합병 평가, 합작 사업 진출 여부 등을 포함하는 전략을 고안해 내는 성과를 이루었다.
