후안 까를로스 까이사 주한콜롬비아 대사는 보고타 하베리아나 대학교 출신 법률가로, 뉴욕주 콜럼비아 대학교에서 행정학 석사를, 터프트 대학교에서 외교학 및 법 석사 학위를 취득한 외교 전문가이다.
주한콜롬비아 대사로 임명되기 전에는 미국 뉴욕 총영사관에서 영사로 근무하였고, 콜롬비아 국가개발계획 입안의 자문위원으로 활동하여 2014년-18년 국가개발계획 설계에 참여하였다.
두 행정부를 거치면서 후안 까를로스 까이사 대사는 콜롬비아 대통령실 자문위원으로 활동하였으며, 총 32명의 지방자치단체장, 1102명의 시장들과의 협업을 통해 공공국토개발 프로젝트를 지도 및 감독하였다.

Juan Carlos Caiza, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia in the Republic of Korea, is a lawyer from the Javeriana University of Bogota, with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration form the University of Columbia, NY and Masters in Diplomacy and Laws from the Fletcher School at the University of Tufts, MA.
He has served as Consul of Colombia in the city of New York and as an advisor on the Direction of the National Department of Planning in Colombia, in the preparation of the National Development Plan 2014-18.
In two governments he has been an advisor to the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia for territorial public management in coordination of the execution of projects with the 32 Governors and the 1102 Mayors of the Country.
