김주진 대표는 에너지와 환경 분야에서 오래 활동해 온 법률전문가로서, 기후솔루션을 설립하기 전에는 김앤장 법률사무소에서 다수의 에너지 프로젝트를 수행하였다. 김대표는 온실가스종합정보센터 명세서공개 심사위원으로 활동하거나 제3차 에너지기본계획 워킹그룹의 위원으로 참여하는 등 국내 기후변화·에너지 정책에 있어서도 주요 전문가로서 역할을 해왔다. 서울대학교 외교학과와 같은 대학교 환경대학원 석사과정을 졸업하였고, 미국 조지타운대학교에서 환경법으로 법학석사 학위를 받았다.

Joojin Kim is Managing Director and Founder of Solutions for Our Climate (SFOC), a Seoul based climate advocacy group focusing on preventing new coal power plants both within Korea and internationally, phasing out coal power within Korea and promoting renewable energy. Joojin has over ten years of experience with the international climate change regime, including experience serving as member of the delegation of the Republic of Korea to the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference, held in Copenhagen. More recently, he served as member of the Working Group for Korea’s Third Energy Framework Plan and as member of the Advisory Panel of the National Council on Climate and Air Quality of Korea led by Ban Ki-Moon. He also briefly worked for the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). Before founding SFOC, he was an attorney at Kim & Chang, Korea’s largest law firm. Joojin received his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center and master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University.
