필립 라이너는 보안ㆍ기술연구소의 최고 경영자이며, 이전 오바마 대통령의 백악관 남아시아안보회의 (NSC) 선임이사로 재직했다. 그는 또한 아프가니스탄과 파키스탄관련 수석 고문위원과 파키스탄 NSC 국장을 역임하였다. 이에 앞서 그는 국방부 특별공로훈장인 ‘특별민간봉사상’을 수여하게된 국방부 정책차관실에서 근무하였다. 또한 Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems에서 Electronic Warfare, Remote Sensing and Vision Systems 사업부에서 다년간 일하였다.

Philip Reiner is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Security and Technology, and has previously served as President Obama’s Senior Director for South Asia on the National Security Council staff at the White House. He also has served as the Senior Advisor for Afghanistan and Pakistan and as a Director for Pakistan on the NSC staff. Prior to these roles, he served in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy in the Pentagon, where he received the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Civilian Service while also spending a number of years in Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems, working in the Electronic Warfare, Remote Sensing and Vision Systems business units.
