임해용 박사는 제주평화연구원의 연구위원으로 휴스턴대학교 정치학과 강사, 애리조나주립대의 정치학과와 경제자유연구센터의 박사후연구원과 통일연구원의 부연구위원을 지냈다. 서울대학교 외교학과와 동 대학원을 졸업하고, 미국 휴스턴대학에서 투명성의 정치경제에 관한 연구를 하여 정치학 박사학위를 받았다. 주요 연구분야는 투명성의 정치경제, 분쟁과 평화의 정치경제, 동북아 국제정치 등이다. 주요 논문으로는 “Does the WTO Exacerbate International Conflict”(Journal of Peace Research, 2020), “평화경제론과 한반도: 분쟁 후 국가의 평화구축 관점” (국제정치논총, 2021) 등이 있다.

Dr. Haeyong Lim is a research fellow at the Jeju Peace Institute (JPI). Before he joined the JPI, he was an instructor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Houston. Then, he worked as a postdocotral research scholar at the Center for the Study of Economic Liberty and the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University and later worked as research fellow at the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU). He graduated from Seoul National University with BA degrees both in Political Science and Economics, and MA in International Relations. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Ph.D. degree in political science (political economy). His main research interest is in the political economy of transparency, the political economy of peace and conflict, and the international politics in East Asia. He published his papers in the Journal of Peace Research and the Korean Journal of International Relations.
