문재인 정부 핵심 정책과제 중 하나인 광역 단위 자치경찰제 시범 실시 기간(’18. 4. 30.~‘20. 12. 31.) 동안 제주특별자치도 자치경찰단 핵심 업무인 자치경찰단 기획홍보팀장직을 수행하여 현 정부 자치경찰제도에 대한 이해도가 높다.
자치경찰 확대 시범운영 기간 중 탁월한 업무능력으로 ‘행정복합치안센터’, ‘제주형 통학로 시설개선 사업’ 등 자치경찰제 시행 취지에 부합하는 행정․ 경찰 융복합 사무를 발굴, 성공적 시행에 앞장서 왔다. 현재 전국 17개 지자체 중에서 유일한 이원화 자치경찰제를 시행 중인 제주특별자치도의 자치경찰단 내에서 ’자치경찰 시범운영 추진 TF팀장’직을 수행하며 제주형 이원화 자치경찰제의 성공적인 안착을 위해 노력하고 있다.

He has worked as a team leader for the Public Relations office in Jeju Municipal Police(self-governing police) during the municipal police test-implementation period, which is one of the major policy of Jae-in Moon government.
With outstanding performance during the test-implementation period of the municipal police system, he has been at the forefront by discovering convergence in administrative and police affairs consistent with the purpose. “Administrative and Security Center” and the “Jeju-type School Road Facility Improvement Project” are the representative examples.
Currently, he is serving as a leader of the TF Team for test-operation period of the Municipal Police in Jeju, which is the only dualized self-governing police system among 17 local governments in Korea.
He is making his efforts to set the successful base of the Jeju Dualized Municipal Police System.
