정웅석은 서경대학교 공공인재학부 교수이자 한국형사소송법학회 회장이다. 연세대학교 법학석사, 박사를 취득했다. 한국법학교수회 수석부회장, 대검찰청 형사정책자문위원회 위원, 수사권조정자문위원회 위원 등으로 활동했다. 주요 저서로는 형사소송법(박영사), 형법총론(대명출판사), 형법각론(대명출판사), 고위공직자범죄수사처 법과 제도의 이해(박영사) 등이 있다.
형사법 분야의 국내 대표 전문가로 수사권 조정, 형사법 개정에 깊은 조애를 가지고 있다.

Woong-seok Jeong is a professor of Department of Public Talent and a chairman of the Korean Society of Criminal Procedure Law.
He received his master’s and doctorate degree of Law from Yonsei-University.
He worked as a senior vice president of the Korea Law Professors Association INC, member of the Criminal Policy Advisory Committee of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, member of the Advisory Committee of ‘the Coordination of Criminal Investigation Rights’.
His main book are; “The Criminal Procedure Law”(Pakyoungsa Publisher), “Introduction to Criminal Law”(Daemyung Publisher), “Particulars of Criminal Law”(Daemyung Publisher), and “Understanding Law and System of Criminal Investigation Office of Senior Government Officials”(Pakyoungsa Publisher)
He is a leading domestic expert in the field of criminal law, and has a deep knowledge of adjusting investigative rights and revising criminal law.
