Simon Smith 사이먼 스미스
	The British Embassy, Korea 주한영국대사관 Ambassador 대사 사이먼 스미스 대사는 2018년 3월 주한영국대사로 부임하였다. 2002~2004년 외국 외무부 동북아시아·태평양국 심의관으로 근무 중 처음으로 한국과 북한을 방문하였다. 한국으로 부임하기 전, 그는 우크라이나와 오스트리아에서 대사를 역임했으며, 비엔나에서는 유엔 영국 대표부 대사와 국제원자력기구 영국 대표를 겸임하였다. 1986년 영국 외무부에 입부, 주일본영국대사관과 주러시아영국대사관에서 경제, 무역 및 투자 관련 직책을 역임했다. 영국 브리스톨에서 태어나 옥스퍼드 대학교에서 독어와 불어를 수학하였다. Simon Smith has been British Ambassador to the Republic of Korea since March 2018. He first visited North Korea and South Korea in 2002-4 when he was Head of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office’s NE Asia & Pacific Department. He has served as British Ambassador to Ukraine and to Austria – where he was also the UK’s Permanent Representative to UN and international organizations in Vienna, and the UK Governor on the Board of the International Atomic Energy Agency. He began his career in the Diplomatic Service in 1986, and has also worked – largely on economic, trade and investment issues – at the British Embassies in Tokyo and Moscow. Simon is from Bristol, and studies German and French at Oxford University.
