조원득 박사는 국립외교원 외교안보연구소 아세안-인도연구센터에서 연구교수를 맡고 있다. 그는 숙명여자대학교 글로벌 거버넌스 연구소에서 선임 연구원으로 활동하였다. 이전에는 위스콘신-밀워키 대학교와 캐롤 대학교에서 비교정치학과 국제관계학 과목을 가르쳤다. 조원득 박사는 텍사스 A&M 대학교에서 정치학 석사과정을 수료하였으며, 그의 주 연구주제는 국제 정책 분석, 인도-태평양과 동남아시아 국제관계학, 그리고 미국 부대 외국 주둔 등이 있다. 그의 주 논문들은 Defence and Peace Economics, 국가 전략, 그리고 한국 정치과학 학술지 등에 게재되었다.

Dr. Cho, Wondeuk is a research professor of the Center of ASEAN-Indian Studies at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS), Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA). He was senior researcher at the Institute of Global Governance, Sookmyung Women’s University. He taught courses of international relations and comparative politics at Carroll University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He holds a Ph.D in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His main research topics consist of foreign policy analysis, international relations of Indo-Pacific and Southeast Asia, and US foreign troops deployment. His articles were published in Defence and Peace Economics, Pacific Focus, National Strategy (Korean), and Korean Political Science Review. wodcho18@mofa.go.kr.
