"양성배 전무는 2020년 10월 19일, 한국의 전력시장과 전력계통운영을 전담하고 있는 한국전력거래소 운영본부장으로 선임되었다. 1989년 한국전력공사에 입사하여 현재는 한국전력거래소에서 한국의 전력계통운영을 총괄하고 있으며, 국가 전력정책 심의 의결기구인 전력정책심의회 심의위원으로 활동 중이다.
특히, 한국전력거래소 전원계획분야에서 오랜 실무경험과 전문성을 바탕으로 국가전력수급기본계획에 기후변화 대응을 위한 에너지 전환정책의 기본 틀을 마련하였다. 더불어 신재생에너지의 수용력 확대를 위한 전력계통 운영기준을 마련하는 등 재생에너지 확대 및 전력계통의 안정적 운영에도 이바지하였다.
최근에는 온실가스 감축을 위한 전원믹스 개선 및 화석연료 사용 발전량을 억제하여 글로벌 온실가스 감축 목표 달성을 추진 중이다."
