박지연은 전북대학교 국제인문사회학부 조교수이다. 박지연은 이화여자대학교 사회학과에서 학사 학위, 영국 요크대학교 정치학과에서 석사 학위 그리고 이화여자대학교 북한학과에서 박사 학위를 취득하였다. 이후 대외경제정책연구원과 한국수출입은행에서 연구위원으로 근무하였고 2018년에 전북대학교로 부임 후, 현재까지 연구와 교육 활동에 매진하고 있다. 박지연은 제재와 원조 등 경제외교술을 주요 연구관심사로 가지며, 그녀의 논문은 International Political Science Review(2021 forthcoming), Journal of Asian Pacific Economy(2018) 등 여러 저널에 게재되어왔다.

Jiyoun Park is an assistant professor in the school of international studies at Jeonbuk National University, Republic of Korea. She received her Bachelor and Doctoral degree from Ewha Womans University and Master degree from the University of York. She worked at KIEP and Korea Exim Bank before joining Jeonbuk National University in 2018. Her research focuses on how economic statecraft, economic sanctions or foreign aid works in target states. Her recent publications appear in International Political Science Review(2021), Journal of Asian Pacific Economy(2018) and so on.
