권구순 박사는 현재 서울사이버대학교 국제협력-북한전공 책임교수 겸 미래 융합인재학부장을 맡고 있고 국제개발, 글로벌화, 평화구축 등을 강의하고 있다. 주요 연구 분야는 인도적 지원, 평화구축, 민군협력 등이다. 최근 한국정부의 인도주의-개발-평화 넥서스의 대표적 원조프로그램인 메콩유역국 지뢰행동을 통한 미래평화 공동체 조성사업에 외부전문가로서 타당성조사 및 평가에 참여하고 있다.
학계 입문 전 권구순 박사는 적십자사, 유엔 임무단, 국제비정부기구 등에서 국제구호와 개발협력, 평화구축과 재건 등의 현장업무를 담당한 경력이 있다.
고려대학교 국제대학원에서 국제관계로 박사학위를 취득하였고 외교부 무상원조관계기관협의회 민간전문가단, 한국국제협력단 평화분야 전문위원, 한국국제개발협력학회 상임이사, 국제개발협력민간협의회 인도지원사업 위원 등을 맡아 활동하고 있다.

Dr. Kwon, Goosoon is head of International Cooperation and North Korean Studies and dean of the Future Multidisciplinary Studies at Seoul Cyber University, where he has devoted to teach international development, globalization, peacebuilding past ten years. His research focuses on humanitarian assistance, UN peace operations, and civil-military cooperation. As the external consultant, Dr. Kwon has taken the lead in feasibility study and M&E to the ROK-Mekong peaceful and inclusive community development program through mine action, funded by ROK government since 2018.
Before joining academia, he had a variety of field experiences, including relief and development and post-conflict peacebuilding and reconstruction in the RC/RC movement, INGO and UN mission (UNMIL).
At present, Dr. Kwon has served as chair of general affairs committee to the Korea Association of International Development and Cooperation(KAIDEC); member of advisory committee on Council of Organizations for Grant Aid (MOFA); member of the expert committee on Peace and Development (KOICA); and member of the advisory board on humanitarian affairs (KCOC).
Dr. Kwon received DPhil. in international relations from the Graduate School of International Studies at Korea University.
