박재모는 국토교통부 산하 제주국제자유도시개발센터 설립원년(2002)에 입사하여, 신규사업팀장, 조사연구팀장, 기획조정실 기획부장, 면세본부 영업처장 등을 거쳐 현재 운영사업본부 휴양관광처장으로 재직 중이다. 2003년 경기대학교 관광개발학과에서 석박사 학위를 취득하고, 저서 ’관광지 수명주기와 성장관리 전략’ 외에 ‘제주관광객 수명주기 분석과 성장관리 방안’ 등 10여편의 학술논문을 게재하였고 ‘경기 도자기 엑스포 기본계획수립’ 등 다수의 실무프로젝트를 수행하였다. 현재 한국관광학회 제주도특별분과 위원장을 역임(2018)하고, 대한국토도시계획학회 부회장, 제주특별자치도 도시계획심의위원회 위원, 대한관광경영학회, 한국교통학회 정회원으로 활동하며 관광개발, 지역개발, 도시계획 분야 등에서 실무를 하고 있다.

Jaimo Pak joined the Jeju Free International City Development Center under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in the first year of its establishment (2002), and is currently serving as the director of Resort & Theme Park Dept at the Business Management Headquarter after serving as the head of the New Business Team, the head of the Research Team, the general manager of the Planning and Coordination Dept, and the head of the Sales Dept of the duty-free headquarters. In 2003, he obtained his master's degree from the Department of Tourism Development at Kyonggi University and published more than 10 academic papers such as 'Analysis of Jeju Tourist Life Cycle and Growth Management Plan' in addition to his book 'Tourist Life Cycle and Growth Management Strategy'. A number of practical projects such as' planning' were carried out. Currently, he serves as the chairman of the Jeju Island Special Subcommittee of the Korean Tourism Association (2018), and is active as a vice president of the Korean Planning Association, the member of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Urban Planning Committee, the Korean Tourism Management Association, and the Korean Transportation Association, working in the fields of tourism development, regional development and urban planning.
