KIM Heung-kyu 김흥규
	Ajou University 아주대학교 Professor 교수 김흥규 소장은 중국과 미-중관계 전문가이다. 아주대에서 2004년 중국정책연구소에 이어 2021년에는 미중정책연구소를 설립하였다. 미국 미시간 대학에서 정치학 박사학위를 받았다. 이후 외교부 외교안보연구원(현 국립외교원) 교수를 거쳐 현재 아주대 정치외교학과 교수로 재직중이다. 중국 외교·안보, 북핵문제, 동아시아 국제정치, 미-중 전략경쟁 등 국제정치 전반의 주요문제들을 연구하면서 300여편 이상의 국·영·중문 글을 발표하였다. 청와대, 외교부, 통일부, 국방부, 국회 등 다양한 정부기관에서 정책자문 역할을 해 왔다. 현재는 청와대 국가안보실, 국방부, 육군 정책자문위원이며, 외교부 혁신위원회 위원장이다. 매체에는 [중앙일보]의 ‘한반도와 평화와치,’ 칼럼, [문화일보]의 문화지식포럼의 외교안보 분과위원으로서 ‘Deep Read,’ 칼럼을 쓰고 있고, [세계일보] 의 ‘세계와 우리’ 외부 칼럼이스트이다. 2018년 미국 Georgetown University와 2020년 2월 스웨덴 The Institute for Strategy and Development Policy(ISDP)에서 방문학자로 연구하였다. 한국 니어(NEAR) 재단에서 선정한 2014년 한국 외교안보부문 학술상 수상자이다. ‘신국제질서와 한국외교전략(명인문화사, 2021)’, ‘한반도2022(사회평론아카데미, 2019)’ 등을 비롯한 다수의 공동 저서가 있다. Dr. Heung-Kyu KIM received his BA and MA in international relations at Seoul National University, ROK and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan, USA. He is a founder of the US-China Policy Institute and serves as Director, and Professor in the department of political science at Ajou University, ROK. He previously served for six years as Professor at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS), MOFA. He was a visiting fellow at Georgetown University, USA in 2018 and the Institute for Security and Development Policy(ISDP) at Stockholm, Sweden in February, 2020. His current assignments include Chairperson in the Reform Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a board member of the Policy Advisory Commission in the Presidential National Security Council, the Ministry of National Defense, and Army. Also, Dr. Kim was Chairperson in the foreign policy sub-committee in the Presidential Policy Planning Commission, an executive consultant in the State Affairs Planning Advisory Committee for Moon Jae-in government, and a regular participant at ROK-China Strategic Dialogues. Dr. Kim has written more than 300 articles, books, and policy papers regarding Chinese politics and foreign policy, and security issues in Northeast Asia. He wrote a book titled in China’s Central-Local Relations and Decision-Making and got an award for Excellency of the year by the Ministry of Culture in 2008. He also got awarded the NEAR Foundation Academic prize of the year in the area of Foreign Policy and Security in 2014.
