김진아 박사는 한국국방연구원에서 북한군사연구실장을 맡아 북미관계와 비확산 문제를 연구하고 있다. 또한 연세대학교 국제대학원에서 겸임교수로 국제관계이론과 인도주의개입 강의를 맡고 있다. 현재 청와대 국가안보실 외교부 통일부에서 정책자문위원과 평가위원으로 활동하고 있으며 한미연합사령부와 국무조정실 자문위원 및 평가위원 등을 역임했다. 미국 플레쳐스쿨에서 국제관계학 박사학위를 받았고, 그간 10여개의 국제저널 논문발표, 10여개의 해외 단행본 발간 및 매년 20여개의 국제세미나에 참여하면서 활동하고 있다.

Jina Kim is a Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses, specializing in US-North Korea relations, nuclear nonproliferation, and Northeast Asian security. She teaches “Introduction to International Relations” and “Humanitarian Intervention: Theory and Practice” at Yonsei Graduate School of International Studies. She is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Blue House, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Unification. She also served on the Policy Evaluation Committee for the Prime Minister’s Office and the Advisory Committee for the US-ROK Combined Forces Command. She authored The Cooperative Threat Reduction and the Korean Peninsula (KIDA 2021) and The North Korean Nuclear Weapons Crisis (Palgrave McMillan 2014). She co-authored many books including EU-Korea Security Relations (Routledge 2021) and Korean Peninsula and Indo-Pacific Power Politics (Routledge 2020). She holds a PhD in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University
