윤광일은 숙명여대 정치외교학과 교수이다. 그는 미시간 대학에서 정치문화연구로 정치학 박사 학위를 받은 후 정치심리, 정치행태, 미국정치, 다문화 관련 연구를 진행해왔다. 그는 서울대에서 정치학 학사와 석사를 마치고 공군사관학교에서 정치학 전임강사를 재직했고, 미국정치연구회장, 숙명여대 다문화통합연구소장, 제21대 국회의원 선거구 획정위원 등을 역임했다. 차기 한국정당학회 회장으로 선출되어 2022년부터 재직할 예정이다.


Kwang-Il Yoon is a professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Sookmyung Women’s University. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His primary research areas include political psychology, Korean political behavior, American politics, and multiculturalism. His recent papers appear in such journals as Culture and Politics (2017), Journal of Legislative Studies (2017), Korea and World Politics (2019) and Korea Observer (2020).
