데이비드 마이클 메이즐리시는 국제적십자위원회 한국사무소 대표이며 국제인도법 전문 변호사이다. 2002년부터 ICRC에서 근무를 시작한 데이비드 메이즐리시 대표는 ICRC의 법률부서를 비롯해 코트디부아르, 차드, 콩고공화국 그리고 케냐와 같은 분쟁 현장에서도 근무했으며, 2011~2018년에는 ICRC 제네바본부에서 아시아∙태평양 및 중동 관련 업무를 중점적으로 다루었다. 이후 한국사무소 부임 전까지 ICRC 일본 도쿄대표단의 서태평양지역 군사 전문관으로서, 호주, 피지, 일본, 뉴질랜드와 파푸아뉴기니, 5개국의 국방부 및 인도∙태평양 미군 사령부와의 업무 조정을 담당하였다.

David Michael Maizlish is Head of the ICRC Mission in Seoul. He is a licensed attorney specializing in International Humanitarian Law. He has worked for the ICRC since 2002, including positions in the Legal Division, field assignments to Ivory Coast, Chad, Republic of Congo, and Kenya. Between 2011 and 2018 he worked at ICRC headquarters focusing on operations in the Asia Pacific and Middle East. Prior to joining the Mission in Seoul he was based in Tokyo as the Delegate for Armed Forces for the Western Pacific where he coordinated the ICRC’s activities with the national militaries of Australia, Fiji, Japan, New Zealand, and PNG and with USINDOPACOM.
