홍준현 교수는, 중앙대학교 공공인재학부 교수 (Professor, School of Public Service, Chung-Ang University)로서, 대통령소속 자치분권위원회 자치혁신전문위원회 위원장 (Chair, Autonomous Innovation Sub-Committee, Presidential Committee on Autonomy and Decentralization)을 맡고 있으며, 전 한국정책분석평가학회 회장 (Former President, Korean Association for Policy Analysis and Evaluation)을 역임하였다.

Jun Hyun HONG is Professor of School of Public Service, Chung-Ang University in Seoul since 2002. Previously he was Vice President for International Affairs, Dean of International Education,and Director of Policy and Public Administration Institute. Besides university positions, he has served as policy advisors to various central and local governments, Presidents of Korean Association of Foreign Student Administrators, Korean Association of PolicyAnalysis and Evaluation, and Vice President of Korean Association of Local Government Studies. Due to his continuous public services, he was awarded Presidents Service Merit Medal, Prime Ministers Citation, and Minister of the Interior & Safety Citation. Heearned Ph.D. in public policy research and analysis from University of Pittsburgh, and MPA and BA from Seoul National University
