김종숙 선임연구위원은 위스콘신대학 매드슨 캠퍼스에서 가족경제학으로 박사학위를 마친 후 2002년 3월부터 한국여성정책연구원에서 여성노동시장을 비롯한 여성관련 정책연구를 수행해오고 있다. 주요 연구는 여성노동시장과 정부정책에 관한 것으로 여성의 노동시장 참여, 경력단절 여성, 여성기업 및 일가정양립 등 다양한 주제를 다루고 있다. 대통령 비서실 여성가족비서관으로 재직하였으며, 최저임금위원회, 노사정위원회, 저출산고령사회위원회 등 정부 주요 위원회에 공익위원으로 참여한 바 있다. 현재는 여성경제학회 회장으로 봉사하고 있다.

Jongsoog Kim is a senior research fellow at Korea Women’s Development Research Institute in Korea. She received her PhD in Family Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her major research interests include women’s labor, national polies regarding women and enterprises, work and life balance, and household resource allocation. She published many policy reports and articles both in English and Korean. She served as Secretary to the President for Women and Family Affair and a board member of Korean Minimum Wage Council etc. Currently she is leading Korean Women Economists Association as a chief.
