이남호는 제주대학교 화학·코스메틱스학과 교수로 재직 중이다. 또한 현재 첨단산업단지 캠퍼스 내 (사)제주산학융합원 원장을 겸직하고 있다. 이남호는 천연물 화학자로서 제주 연안 해조류 및 육상자원의 산업화에 관심을 갖고 연구하고 있다. 특히, 산학협력을 통하여 제주 화장품산업의 생태계 구축 및 혁신 발전에 노력하고 있다. 제주대학교 산학협력단장을 역임하였으며 대한화장품학회 이사로 활동하고 있다. 이남호는 연세대학교에서 학사, 석사 그리고 미국 아이오와주립대에서 박사학위를 받았다.

Nam Ho Lee is a professor at the Department of Chemistry and Cosmetics at Jeju National University. He is also serving as the head of the Jeju Industrial-Academic Convergence Institute on the Campus of the high-tech industrial complex. As a natural product chemist, Nam Ho Lee is interested in the industrialization of local natural resources including seaweeds and terrestrial plants. In particular, through industry-academic cooperation, he is making efforts to establish an ecosystem and and further to lead development of the Jeju cosmetics industry. He has served as the head of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Group at Jeju National University, and is a director of the Korean Cosmetics Association. Nam Ho Lee received a bachelor's and a master's degree in Yonsei Yniversity, and a Ph. D. from the Iowa State University in the United States.
