하라다 박사는 일본에서 교육을 받고 미국 Pennsylvania State University에서 박사 학위를 취득했으며, Texas A & M University에서 Fulbright 선임 연구원으로 근무했다. 그는 국립 피트니스 스포츠연구소, 오사카체육대학교, 도쿄의 와세다대학교에서 스포츠 과학부 교수로 재직하였다. 또한 아시아 스포츠 경영협회 회장을 역임했으며 현재 일본 스포츠 경영협회(JASM) 회장, 일본 배구리그(JVA) 이사, 일본 스포츠 관광학회(JSTA)회장으로 재임 중에 있다. 그는 스포츠 관리, 스포츠 마케팅과 관광학 분야에서 널리 알려져 있다.

Dr. Harada was educated in Japan, achieved his Ph.D. at the Pennsylvania State University and was a Fulbright Senior Researcher at Texas A&M University. He has held positions with the National Institute of Fitness and Sport and Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences prior to taking up his current position as professor on the faculty of sport sciences at Waseda University, Tokyo. He has also held positions as the past president of the Asian Association for Sports Management and the president of the Japan Association for Sport Management (JASM), and is a director of the Japan Volleyball League (JVA) and the chairman of the Japan Sport Tourism Alliance (JSTA). He is a well-published author on sport management, sport marketing, sport tourism and leisure studies.
