"Cheng LIU is associate professor of economics at the Nankai University of China, deputy chairman of the department of International Economics and Trade, Nankai University. He is research fellow of center of World Economic Forum and Secretary General of research center of Pilot Free Trade Zone at Nankai University.
He received his Ph.D. from the School of Economics at Nankai University, where he focused on topics in international finance and development economics. He was visiting scholar of department of Economics at Columbia University between 2016 and 2017.
His research Interests include the determinants and reconstruction of international monetary system, and also the economics of capital control. He was awarded the nomination of the National Best Ph.D. Thesis by Ministry of Education of China in 2010."
