전해철 행정안전부 장관은 2020년 12월 제3대 행정안전부 장관으로 취임한 대한민국의 변호사이자 국회의원이다. 대통령비서실 민정수석비서관을 지내면서 권력기관 개혁을 추진 하였으며, 제19‧20‧21대 대한민국 국회의원으로서 법제사법위원회, 정무위원회 및 예산결산 특별위원회 간사위원, 정보위원회 위원장 등 주요 직책을 역임했다. 또한 대통령직속 자치분권 위원회, 국가균형발전위원회, 녹색성장위원회 등 각종 정부위원회 위원을 겸하고 있으며 현재, 행정안전부 장관으로서 지방분권과 균형발전, 국민안전, 정부혁신에 관한 정책을 관장하고 있다.

Minister of the Interior and Safety Jeon Hae-cheol is a South Korean lawyer and a member of the National Assembly, who took office as the third Minister of the Interior and Safety in December 2020. While serving as the Senior Secretary to the President for Civil Affairs and Justice at the Office of the President, he promoted reform of power organizations. And, as the member of the 19th, 20th and 21st National Assembly, he served in key positions such as the Executive Secretary of the Judiciary Committee, the National Policy Committee and the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts and the Chairman of the Intelligence Committee. He is also the member of various government committees such as the Presidential Committee on Autonomy and Decentralization, the Presidential Committee for Balanced National Development and the Committee on Green Growth. As the Minister of the Interior and Safety, he oversees policies on decentralization and balanced development, public safety and government innovation and so forth.
