Linda Backteman is the Counsellor responsible for Economics, Trade and Trade Promotion at the Embassy of Sweden in Seoul. She is also responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility, Business and Human Rights, Gender Equality and Environmental Issues.
She was earlier posted in Shanghai as the Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai, responsible for Economics, Trade and Trade Promotion. Altogether she has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 14 years, including being responsible for the bilateral relations between Sweden and China in Stockholm.

She has a Master Degree in Political Science and a Bachelor Degree in Literature. She has several years of experience working at the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and as Chairman of the Board of an educational institute in Sweden.
