스콧 스나이더(Scott A. Snyder)는 한국학 선임 연구원이자 미국외교위원회(CFR, Council on Foreign Relations)의 한미 정책 책임자이다. 위원회에 합류하기 전에 스나이더는 아시아 재단의 국제 관계 프로그램에서 선임 연구원으로 근무했으며, 2000년부터 2004년 동안, 한국에서 아시아 재단의 대표를 역임했다. 또한 미국 평화 연구소의 연구 및 연구 프로그램에서 아시아 전문가로 활동했으며 아시아소사이어티(Asia Society)의 현대 문제 프로그램의 대리 이사로 활동했다. 2005년부터 2006 년까지는 스탠포드 대학(Stanford University)의 쇼렌스타인(Shorenstein) 아시아 태평양 연구 센터에서 객원 연구원으로 지냈다. 스나이더 선임 연구원은 라이스 대학교에서 학사를, 하버드 대학교의 동아시아 지역 연구 프로그램에서 석사 학위를 받았다.

Scott A. Snyder is senior fellow for Korea studies and director of the program on U.S.-Korea policy at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Prior to joining CFR, Mr. Snyder was a senior associate in the international relations program of the Asia Foundation, where he served as the Asia Foundation’s representative in Korea (2000–2004). Mr. Snyder has worked as an Asia specialist in the research and studies program of the U.S. Institute of Peace and as acting director of Asia Society’s contemporary affairs program. He was a Pantech visiting fellow at Stanford University’s Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center during 2005–2006. Mr. Snyder received a BA from Rice University and an MA from the regional studies East Asia program at Harvard University.
