헨릭 우달(정치학 박사)은 오슬로평화연구소(PRIO) 연구실장이자 연구교수이다. 그는 Journal of Peace Research의 편집장을 역임하였으며 하버드 케네디 스쿨의 국제안보 프로그램 연구위원으로 재직하였다. 우달 소장의 정치적 인구 통계학 연구는 인구와 환경의 변화가 무력분쟁에 미치는 영향에 중점을 두고 있으며 주요 국제학술지에 게재되었다. 우달 소장은 PRIO 팀의 일원으로 세계은행/유엔개발계획의 주요 대표 보고서인 Pathways for Peace를 위한 배경 문서를 제작하였다. 그는 (PRIO와 노르웨이 외무부 간의 협력으로 진행하는) Conflict Trends Project의 책임자로 세계 무력분쟁 경향에 대해 광범위하게 연구해왔다.

Henrik Urdal (PhD, Political Science) is Director and Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO). He is past Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Peace Research, and a former Research Fellow with the International Security Program at Harvard Kennedy School. Urdal’s work on political demography focuses on the impact of population and environmental change on armed conflict, and has been published in leading international academic journals. Urdal was part of a PRIO team producing a key background paper for the World Bank/UNDP landmark report Pathways for Peace. He has worked extensively on global trends in armed conflict as past Director for the Conflict Trends project, a long-term collaborative effort between PRIO and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
