이인은 전남 화순에서 태어나 광주대 법학과를 졸업하고 2001년 제주CBS 보도제작국 기자로 입사했다. 사회부, 정치부, 경제부 등 여러 분야에 출입하며 제주현안을 발굴·보도했으며, 현재 보도제작국 부장으로 재직중이다. 2019년 7월부터 2020년까지 14기 제주언론노조협의회 의장을 역임했다. 2019년 3월부터 현재까지 제주CBS 라디오를 통해 '이인의 특별한 제주이야기(옛, 이인의 특별한 자치이야기)'를 연재하고 있다. 2020년 전국언론노동조합 민주언론인상, 국가인권위원회-한국기자협회 제9회 인권보도상, 2018년 방송통신심의위원회 이달의 좋은 프로그램상, 2016년 4월 한국기자협회 이달의 기자상 등 다수 수상했다.

Born in Hwasun, South Jeolla Province, Lee graduated from Gwangju National University with a law degree and joined the Jeju CBS Press Production Bureau in 2001. He entered various fields such as the Social Affairs, Political Affairs, and Economic Affairs departments to discover and report on pending issues in Jeju Island, and is currently serving as the head of the press production bureau. He served as chairman of the 14th Jeju Press Union Council from July 2019 to 2020. Since March 2019, he has been publishing "Lee In's Special Jeju Story (formerly Lee In's Special Self-Governing Story)" on Jeju CBS Radio. He won a number of awards, 2020 Democratic Journalist Award from National Press Union , the 9th Journalist Association Human Rights Award from National Human Rights Commission-Korea , the 2018 Good Program for the Month Award from Korea Communications Review Committee's, and the 2016 Korea Journalist of the Month Award.
