D. in Economics from SUNY at Albany 1986-1989: Research Assistant in Sejong Institute 임강택은 뉴욕주립대학교에서 경제학 박사학위를 받고, 동북아시대위원회 전문위원, 민주평통 자문위원을 지냈다. 현재 통일연구원 선임연구위원으로 재직중이며, 민화협 정책위원장, 천주교 평화나눔연구소 소장, 한국동북아경제학회 부회장, 북한대학원대학교 겸임교수으로도 활동하고 있다. 북한경제, 남북경협, 남북통합, 동북아경제협력 등을 주로 연구하고 있다.

임강택은 뉴욕주립대학교에서 경제학 박사학위를 받고, 동북아시대위원회 전문위원, 민주평통 자문위원을 지냈다. 현재 통일연구원 선임연구위원으로 재직중이며, 민화협 정책위원장, 천주교 평화나눔연구소 소장, 한국동북아경제학회 부회장, 북한대학원대학교 겸임교수으로도 활동하고 있다. 북한경제, 남북경협, 남북통합, 동북아경제협력 등을 주로 연구하고 있다.
