Lee Seung-a as a native of Jeju, South Korea born in 1975, has three titles: First of all, She is the youngest member of the Council, Second Oradong, the first district elected member and lastly, the first female member of the council in the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province district. She served on the Culture, Tourism and Sports Committee in her first two years of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Council. Currently, she is a member of the Welfare and Safety Committee for her remaining two years in office. She is also a representative of 「the Jeju Sports Promotion Forum」, a research group within council.
Major legislative activities are the enactment of ordinances, such as urban culture, conservation of nature, protection of children, the elderly, and sports human rights. Other activities: included the restoration of honor for the victims convicted of the 4·3 incident , and the proposal to hold the South-North Peace Ssireum Competition in Jeju and the call for the restoration of Tamna history and culture. In recognition of her achievements, she won a prize for excellence in the 「National Excellence Ordinance」, and the 「National Excellence Council Work Award」. Although she is a first-term member of the council, she is making her utmost effort as a young and powerful woman who takes care of pending issues in the region and Jeju Island.

이승아 의원은 1975년 대한민국 제주 출신으로 2018년 전국 지방선거에서 제주특별자치도 지역구에서 선출된 최연소, 최초 지역구, 초대 첫 여성의원으로 3가지 타이틀을 가지고 있다. 제주자치도의회 전반기 2년은 문화관광체육회, 후반기는 복지안전위원회에서 활동하고 있다. 또한 의회 연구모임 ‘제주체육진흥포럼’ 대표로 활동하고 있다. 주요 입법 활동으로는 도시문화, 자연의 보존, 어린이와 노약자, 스포츠인권 보호 등의 조례 제정을 하였다. 그 외 대외교섭활동으로 4.3수형희생자 명예회복, 남북평화씨름대회 제주개최 제안, 탐라역사문화회복 촉구 등 제주의 지역현안 해결에도 활동하였다. 이러한 업적을 인정받아 ‘전국 우수조례우수상’ ‘전국우수의정대상’ 등을 수상 하였다. 초선이지만 젊고 힘차게, 여성으로서 세밀하게 지역과 제주의 현안을 살피는 당당한 여성 정치인으로서 최선을 다하고 있다.
