SEO Chong-chin, a researcher at the Northeast Asian History Foundation, is studying Korea-Japan relations as a Japanese political history major. He is currently involved in the colonial rule of Japanese imperialism and the Japanese textbook issue project. As an expert in Korea, his recent research achievements include "History Education in the Contemporary World" (2019).

동북아역사재단에 재직 중인 서종진 연구위원은 일본정치사 전공자로서 한일관계를 연구하고 있다. 현재 한일 역사현안이 되고 있는 일본 제국주의의 식민통치와 일본 교과서 문제 등과 관련하여 연구 성과를 발표하고 있다. 한국 내의 일본 전문가로서 연구활동을 하고 있으며, 최근 연구 업적으로는 “세계의 역사교육 어디로 가고 있는가”(2019) 등이 있다.
