Byungwon Woo is Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Studies, Yonsei University. At Yonsei University, he currently serves as the Deputy Director at the Institute of State Governance Studies and as the Director of the Leadership Center, the Institute of East and West Studies. Prior to his current academic position, he was a professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and at Oakland University, MI, USA. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the Ohio State University in 2010. His main research interests include international relations, international organization, and international political economy and he has authored many articles on the political economy of international organizations and the international politics of economic incentives that appeared at American Journal of Political Science, International Studies Quarterly, Habitat International, Political Studies, International Interactions, Political Science Research & Methods, Journal of Human Rights, Economics of Governance, Economics & Politics, etc.

우병원은 현재 연세대학교 정치외교학과 부교수로 재직 중이며 연세대학교 국가관리연구원 부원장, 동서문제연구원 리더십센터 소장으로 활동하고 있다. 2010년 오하이오주립대학교에서 박사학위를 취득한 후 오클랜드대학교, 한국외국어대학교에서 교수로 재직하였으며, 2019년부터 연세대학교에서 국제관계, 국제기구, 국제정치경제, 대외원조, 정치학방법론 등을 강의하고 있다. 주로 국제기구의 정치경제, 국제관계에서의 경제적 유인의 역할, 인권의 국제정치에 대한 논문을 써왔으며 American Journal of Political Science, International Studies Quarterly, Habitat International, Political Studies, International Interactions, Political Science Research & Methods, Journal of Human Rights, Economics of Governance, Economics & Politics 등의 학술지에 논문을 출판하였다.
