Yong-Hwan JUNG, an expert in molecular genetics, works as a director since 2019 of Biodiversity Research Institute, Jeju Technopark(JTP) where he started his career as a researcher in 2004. He strives for research and development of industrialization of subtropical bioresources to respond to Access to Genetic Resources and Benefit Sharing(ABS) laid down in Convention on Biological Diversity(CBD). He also supports local businesses by transferring more than 20 technologies based on his 50 over patents.

정용환 소장은 분자유전학 전문가로 제주테크노파크(JTP) 생물종다양성연구소에서 2004년 연구원을 시작으로 2019년부터 소장으로 재직하고 있다. 생물다양성협약(CBD)에 규정된 유전자원 접근 및 이익 공유(ABS, Access to genetic resources and Benefit Sharing)에 대응해 아열대 생물자원 산업화 연구 및 개발에 힘쓰고 있다. 50여 건의 특허를 획득하고 20여 건을 기술 이전하여 지역기업 지원에도 힘쓰고 있다.
