Professor Kim Ki-seob is a historian who is currently a tenured professor at the Department of History at the College of Humanities at Pusan National University. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the Department of History at Pusan National followed by his Master’s Degree from the Department of Korean History at the graduate school of Seoul National University and ultimately his Ph.D. at Pusan National University in the field of history. He has served as the 19th President of Pusan National University as well as being the co-chair of the Busan Science and Technology Council, Vice-President of the Korean Council for University Education, President of the Chancellor’s Conference of the Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam region and the President of the Chancellor’s Conference of the National Council for Public Universities. He is very dedicated to the promotion of higher education in the Republic of Korea.

김기섭(金琪燮. 59) 부산대학교 교수는 역사학자로서 현재 부산대학교 인문대학 사학과에 재직중이다. 김기섭 교수는 부산대학교 사학과에서 학사, 서울대학교 대학원 국사학과에서 석사, 부산대학교 대학원에서 문학박사학위를 취득하였다. 김 교수는 2012년 1월부터 부산대학교 제 19대 총장을 역임하였으며, 부산과학기술자협의회 공동의장, 한국대학교육협의회 부회장, 부산울산경남 총장협의회 회장, 전국국공립대학교 총장협의회 회장을 맡은 바 있다. 한국 고등교육의 발전에 많은 관심을 가지고 있다.
