육재희는 1962년 대한민국 출생으로 1998년 현대그룹 정주영 회장이 추진한 소떼방북, 금강산관광사업, 개성공단사업을 성사시키고 추진하는 과정에서 북한과의 실무협상을 맡았고, 특히 그 과정에서 사업에 적합한 금강산, 개성지역의 특별법을 북이 제정, 선포토록 하는데 결정적인 역할을 하였다. 2005년부터는 (주)아천글로벌코퍼레이션 대표이사를 맡아서 남북간 육로교역사업, 북한모래채취반입사업등을 성사시켜, 성공적으로 진행하는 등 대표적인 남북경제협력사업에 많은 기여를 하고, 경험을 축적하였다. 2015년부터는 한라그룹에 입사하여 그 동안의 풍부한 대북사업 경험과 노하우를 활용하여 다양한 남북경협사업을 준비하고 있다.

Jae Hee Yook, born in Korea in 1962, was a key participant in developing and negotiating for North Korea business initiatives, such as led a herd of cattle to North Korea, Mount Geumgang Tourism Project, Kaesong Industrial Complex Project, which was led by late Hyundai Group Chairman, Ju-Young Chung in the late 1990’s. In particular, he played a critical role in drafting and announcement of special laws by North Korean Government which provided the ground for the development of Mountain Kumgang and Kaesong Industrial Region. In addition, as the CEO of Acheon Global Corporation since 2005, he successfully led new business ventures such as the Inter-Korea Trading Biz by Land-route, North Korea Sand Trading Biz, making important contributions to the advancement of South-North Korea business relationship. In 2015, he joined Halla Group and has been preparing for new North Korea business opportunities, utilizing his expertise and past experiences.
