Tomoko OKAGAKI 토모코 오카가키
	Dokkyo University 일본 독쿄대학 Professor of Political Science 교수 Tomoko Okagaki is Professor of Political Science at Dokkyo University in Japan, where she also serves as the Chair of the Department of International Legal Studies as well as the Chair of the Department of Policy Studies in the Faculty of Law. She holds a doctoral degree in political science from the University of Michigan and also studied at Sophia University, the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia, the University of Tokyo, and the University of Hong Kong.. Okagaki’s research career began in 1997 when she joined the National Institute for Defense Studies (NIDS), a think tank affiliated with the Japanese Ministry of Defense, where she served as a senior research fellow at the Research Department and as a joint research coordinator at the Planning and Coordination Office. While at NIDS, she also taught international politics part-time at Meiji University. She held an Abe Fellowship from 2008-2010, spending a total of two years as an academic associate at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and as a visiting scholar at the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies, both at Harvard University. From 2014 to 2015 she had her teaching engagement with le Départment de Géographie, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne as a professeure invitée and with L’institut national des langues et civilisations orientales, where she taught Asian regionalism in comparative perspectives with that of Europe. 토모코 오카가키(岡垣　知子) 교수는 일본 독쿄대학교(Dokkyo University, 獨協大学) 정치학 교수로, 동 대학 법학부 국제관계법학과와 종합정책학과 학과장이다. 국제정치, 특히 국제관계이론에 관한 연구에 관심이 많으며, 그 중에서도 국가 사회화, 아시아 지역주의, 국제제도, 주권 개념의 진화, 국제관계 정치사상을 주로 연구해 왔다. 오카가키 교수는 미국 미시간대학교에서 정치학 박사학위를 취득했으며, 소피아대, 터론토대, 브리티쉬 콜롬비아대, 도쿄대, 홍콩대에서 연구를 수행했다. 일본 방위성 산하의 싱크탱크인 일본방위연구소(NIDS) 선임연구위원을 역임했으며, 메이지대학에서 국제정치학을 강의했다. 2008-2010년에는 방문학자로 하버드대 부설 위더헤드 국제문제센터와 라이샤워 일본학연구소에서 연구했으며, 2014-2015년에는 초빙교수로 파리 제1대학에서 유럽과 아시아의 지역주의를 비교하는 강의를 하기도 했다. 2011년부터 독쿄대학에 재직하면서 국제정치학과 미국 외교정책을 강의하고 있다.
