Dr. Jae Sung Kwak is the Associate Dean and Professor of International Development at the Graduate School of Pan-Pacific International Studies (GSP), Kyung Hee University and the Executive Consultant of Kyung Hee Overseas Development and Consulting (KODAC). His research interests include multilateral development assistance, private sector development, CSR in developing countries. He is advising Korean government agencies and private enterprises including Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, LG Group and SK Corp. Also, he has been actively engaged in leading international organizations. For 2007-9, Prof. Kwak was secondeed to the Integration and Trade Sector of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Washington DC. He has been involved in consulting and advisory works for Asian Development Bank (ADB), IDB, UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UN ECLAC) and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). He holds a B.A in Hispanic studies from Seoul National University and a Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool, UK.

경희대학교 국제대학원 교수로 동대학원 부원장 및 경희국제개발컨설팅 (KODAC) 대표컨설턴트로 재직 중이다. 연구 및 관심 분야는 다자간 국제개발협력, 글로벌 CSR 및 민관협력, 개발사업의 평가 및 성과관리, 국제개발컨설팅, 중남미 정치경제, 개도국 지식전수 등이 있다. 미주개발은행 (IDB)의 무역및지역통합국 (INT) 근무 (2007-9)를 거쳐, 미주개발은행과 아시아개발은행(ADB), 유엔중남미경제위원회 (CEPAL) 등의 국제기구에서 컨설턴트로도 활동하고 있으며, 기획재정부, 외교통상부, KOICA, NIPA 등의 정부-공공기관, 삼성, SK, LG 등 글로벌 기업에 대한 자문활동도 수행하고 있다. 저서 및 보고서로는 『국제개발협력 첫걸음』 (KOICA, 2016), 『제1차 ODA 기본계획 평가 및 향후과제 연구』(국무조정실, 2015), The Changing Nature of Asian-Latin American Economic Relations, (UNECLAC, 2015), 『MDB 조달시장 진출방안 연구』(한국수출입은행, 2015), 『중남미와의 삼각협력 추진전략 연구』 (KOICA, 2015), 『녹색성장 시대의 브라질』 (환경부, 2009), 『한국의 대중남미투자와 진출전략연구』(UNECLAC, 2007) 등이 있다. 서울대학교에서 서어서문학을 전공했고, 영국 리버풀대학교에서 중남미지역학 석사 및 국제정치학 박사를 취득했다.
