Dr. Ahn is currently Chairman of Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership to nurture synergistic collaborations between big and small businesses in Korea. He is also Distinguished Professor of Economics at Chung-Ang University. While on sabbatical from Chung-Ang University, he also served as the President of the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (2002-2005), Chair of the APEC Economic Committee, and consultant to the World Bank. He also served as President of several academic societies in Korea including the Korea International Economics Association and the Korea Econometric Society. Since receiving his Ph.D. from Ohio State University, he has published articles in prestigious international journals.

안충영 교수는 현재 한국동반성장위원회 위원장으로서 국내 대기업과 중소기업 간의 상승적 협력 양성에 힘쓰고 있다. 또한 중앙대학교 경제학과 석좌교수를 역임하고 있다. 안식 기간 중에는 대외정책연구원 원장 (2002년-2005년), APEC 경제위원회 의장, 세계은행 고문을 맡았으며, 한국경제학회, 한국계량경제학회를 비롯한 여러 학술단체의 회장으로 활동하였다. 오하이오 주립대학교 박사과정을 졸업한 후 다양한 세계적인 저명 학술지에 글을 기고한 바 있다.
