데니스 톨카치 박사는 2013년 8월 초빙 강사로 홍콩이공대학교의 호텔 및 관광경영 대학에 합류했으며 2014년 조교수로 승진했다. 관광 분야의 현대 이슈, 윤리 및 사회적 책임, 식품 및 음료 관리, 호텔 시설 기획 및 개발, 호텔 및 관광 분야의 혁신 및 창조성, 그리고 협력적 교육에 대하여 가르쳐 왔다. 또한, 톨카치 박사는 대학 및 대학원 수준의 지속 가능한 관광 개발, 지역 사회의 관광 참여, 남태평양의 관광에 관한 주제의 초청 강의들을 하였다. 그의 학문적 초점은 지역사회 관광, 빈곤호의적 관광, 자연 기반 관광 및 개발도상국의 관광 개발에 있다.

Dr. Denis Tolkach has joined the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in August 2013 as a Visiting Lecturer and has been promoted to Assistant Professor in 2014. Dr. Tolkach has taught various subjects within the Hospitality and Tourism fields, including Contemporary Issues in Tourism, Ethics & Social Responsibility, Food and Beverage Management, Hospitality Facilities Planning & Development, Innovation and Creativity in Hospitality and Tourism and Co-Operative Education. Furthermore, Dr. Tolkach has given guest lectures on subjects of Sustainable Tourism Development, Community Participation in Tourism and Tourism in the South Pacific at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests are within areas of Community-Based Tourism, Pro-Poor Tourism, Nature-Based Tourism, and Tourism Development in Less Developed Countries.
