김광길은 한국 변호사로서 로펌에 근무한 후 개성공단관리위원회에서 8년간 법무팀장으로 개성공단에서 상주하면서 일했다. 미국의 조지메이슨대학과 중국의 연변대학에서 방문연구원으로 북한의 경제특구와 법률에 대해 연구했다. 현재는 법무법인 지평에서 북한 전문 변호사로 활동하면서 북한대학원 대학교 겸임교수로 있다.

Currently. He works as an expert attorney on North Korea at JIPYONG LLC and is an adjunct professor at the University of North Korean Studies.
