PARK Cheol Hee 박철희
	GSIS, Seoul National University 서울대학교 국제대학원 Professor 교수 Cheol Hee Park, Ph.D. at Columbia University, is a professor at the Graduate school of International Studies (GSIS) and a director of Institute for Japanese Studies (IJS) at Seoul National University. At the GSIS, he teaches Japanese politics, Korea-Japan relations, and international relations in East Asia. Before joining a faculty at Seoul National University, he was an assistant professor at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Japan and the Institute for Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS). He also served as a visiting professor at Columbia University, Keio University and Kobe University. He authored two books independently: Daigishi no Tsukurare Kata (How Japan’s Dietman Is Made)(Bungeishunjyu, 2000); and Jamindang Jongkwon gwa Jonhu Cheje eui Byunyong (LDP Politics and the Transformation of Postwar System in Japan) (SNU Press, 2011). He published many articles on East Asian politics and international relations in Korean, Japanese, and English at various journals, including Asian Survey, Japanese Journal of Political Studies, Korean Journal of Contemporary Japanese Studies, Asia-Pacific Review, International Political Science Review, Korean Political Science Review, Korean Journal of International Relations, and etc. He is a co-author of several books, including National Identities and Bilateral Relations (Stanford, 2013), Changing Power Relations in Northeast Asia (Routledge, 2011), U.S. Leadership, History, and Bilateral Relations in Northeast Asia (Cambridge University Press, 2011), East Asia’s Haunted Present (Praeger International Security, 2008), and Japan’s Strategic Thought toward Asia (Palgrave, 2007). He is an executive member of Seoul forum for International Affairs, Korea-Japan forum, and Ehwa East Asia Forum. He is also serving as a policy adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is a columnist at Tokyo Shimbun. He received the First Nakasone Yasuhiro Award in 2005 in recognition of academic activities and practical contribution to the friendly ties between South Korea and Japan. 박철희는 현재 서울대학교 국제대학원 (GSIS) 교수 겸 일본연구소(IJS)장이다. 서울대학교 정치학과 졸업과 동 대학원 정치학석사를 수여 받았다. 1998년 미국 컬럼비아대학교에서 정치학 박사학위 취득했다 (현대 일본정치 전공). 일본 국립 정책연구대학원대학 조교수, 외교안보연구원 조교수 역임했으며 컬럼비아대학, 게이오대, 고베대 객원교수 역임했다. 현대일본학회 부회장, 서울국제포럼 멤버 및 섭외위원장, 외교부 자체평가위원, 한일포럼 멤버 및 운영위원으로 재임했다. 이화동아시아포럼 대표간사이며 2012년부터 일본 동경신문 칼럼니스트로 2013년 7월부터 문화일보 칼럼니스트로 조선일보, 동아일보 등 국내 언론에는 물론, 아사히신문, 요미우리신문, 마이니치신문, NHK, CCTV, BBC 등에 한 일관계에 대한 논평 및 인터뷰 다수 게재하였다. 저서에 <代議士のつくられ方(일본의 국회의원이 만들어지는 법)> (문예춘추, 2000), <자민당정권과 전후체제의 변용> (서울대출판부, 2011), 공저로는 <Japan's Strategic Thought toward Asia>, <East Asia's Haunted Present>, <Changing Power Relations in Northeast Asia>. 역서로는 <21세기 일본의 국가전략>, <흔들리는 일본의 정당정치>, <일본의 미들파워 외교>가 있고, 그 외 일본정치, 한일관계, 동아시아 국제관계에 대한 저서 및 논문 다수를 서술하였다. 2005년 일본연구 및 한일관계 개선에 대한 공헌을 인정받아 제1회 나카소네 야스히로상을 수상하였다.
